It all started when…

Photography wasn’t ever something I dreamed of doing, in fact it wasn’t until I was applying for college that I considered it. I needed a senior project to graduate high school. My mom had just gotten a DSLR and had an acquaintance that I could job shadow, there was a class starting soon at the community college and just like that my “easy project” was approved. I had no idea what was about to unfold.

Fast forward three years and I was receiving a degree in photographic technology and a passion for my craft that was growing by the day.

I truly believe that the smallest things shape us into who we’re supposed to be and that everything happens with reason. I started that project over 10 years ago now and can’t imagine doing anything else.

I was born and raised in North Carolina. This is my home and probably always will be. I’m married to my high school sweetheart who has taken this whole photography journey with me. We love our two pets, hiking, the beach, and any night by a fire with friends.

Oddly enough I would consider myself an introvert but love the process of connecting, getting to know people, building relationships and capturing emotion. Really knowing my clients is so important to me and developing that relationship elevates my ability to photograph “real” relationships and personalities.

I deeply value the opportunity to see and capture the human connection and love that people have for one another in a style that helps them and their loved ones relive those moments for a lifetime.
